American Stone Henge

90 miles (145 kilometers) east of Atlanta, and 9 miles (15 kilometers) north of the center of Elberton one will find The Elbert Stones. A monument situated a short distance to the east of Georgia Highway 77. Small signs beside the highway indicate the turnoff for the Guidestones, which is identified by a street sign as "Guidestones Rd."
What is often times referred to as the American Stone Henge is actually a rock monument in Elbert county, Georgia. The following excerpt is taken from wikipedia, "A message comprising ten guides is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient scripts: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Egyptian hieroglyphs.

The artifact is almost twenty feet (6m) tall, and made from six granite slabs weighing more than 100 tons in all. One slab stands in the center, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned. An additional stone tablet, which is set in the ground a short distance to the west of the structure, provides some clarifying notes on the history and purpose of the Guidestones".

The stones were paid for by an unknown organization. The first message is a decree mandating that the Earth's population be brought down to 500 million. Seeing as there are 7 billion of us on the planet this means making 6.5 billion people disappear. There are only around 326 million Americans - this implies something very dark and sinister.

There are 10 decree's in total. These are:

Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

Guide reproduction wisely improving fitness and diversity.

Unite humanity with a living new language.

Rule passion, faith, tradition, and all things with tempered reason.

Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

Avoid petty laws and useless officials.Balance personal rights with social duties.

Prize truth, beauty, love, seeking harmony with the infinite.

Be not a cancer on the earth. Leave room for nature. Leave room for nature.

The monument itself is astronomically aligned. Quoting directly from the site Crytal links," The stones are placed so that a slit at eye level in the central upright slab permits an observer to view the eastern horizon and aligns with the position of the rising sun at the Summer and Winter Solstices. Through the center stone, from south to north, a two-inch diameter hole is inclined at an angle of 34 degrees and points to the North celestial pole. A beam of sunlight passing through a hole in the capstone forms a spot of light below. The position of the spot can be used to determine high noon and the day of the year."

A few feet away from the monument there lies another stone in the ground. This slab gives an explanation of the monument and its alignments.

If you read further you will find that another goal is to unite the world in a single language, and a single government.
Whoever commissioned this was a dreamer with a big budget. By doing away with the language of a single country one would drastically devastate a culture. This would imply massive wars to achieve such an end - but I guess that's not a problem when you want to cut down the population.

In truth - the Earth is over 2 fold the human population. The reason we aren't starving is because of the advances in farming and agricultural sciences. These provide more food than the Earth could naturally produce. There are better ways of dealing with over population than warfare. Overpopulation is solved by colonization of another planet. In our case we can begin to populate the Moon and Mars. In doing so the quality of life of people everywhere will improve due to the advances in technology such a lofty goal will require. In doing so we keep the population rates up and they can continue to grow. There are many moons that we can populate in our own back yard. Let's keep that in mind before we annhilate each other.

Is it possible to Identity the first UFO sighting?

The photo on the right is a well known image of Kenneth Arnold. A trained observer as a pilot, while flying his private plane near Mt. Rainer, Washington he observed a squadron of 9Unidentified flying objects on the 24th of June 1947, only a couple of months before the Roswell incident. He described them as "saucers skipping across a lake"; hence the term flying saucer. Notice the similarity of the craft Arnold saw to the craft on the left. That is a Nazi design by the Horton Brothers - the Horton Ho 229. The following is an excerpt taken from www.greyfalcon.us/The%20Horten%20Ho%20229.htm, "[Interestingly, the Horten brothers were helped in their bid for German government support when Northrop patents for the N-1M appeared in US Patent Office's "Official Gazette" on May 13, 1941, and then in the International Aeronautical journal "Interavia" on November 18, 1941.]".
Following this Horton - Northrop connection it is interesting to come across the flying wing designs that Northrop was testing during the late 40's; particularly during 1947 and 1948. It is possible that what Kenneth Arnold saw that on the summer day was a test flight of these Northrop designs. This is not to imply that Northrop had a more sinister role in the war. Much to the contrary Northrop produced amazing aircraft that helped defeat the Germans. This could simply be considered as spoils of war; using this technology to turn the tide of the cold war and future warfare. At this point all of this is speculation - but it is a plausible explanation. This explanation would also be a testament to Arnold's reliability as a trained observer. I'd like to hear thoughts on this from everyone out there - so please feel free to comment on this.

Rendlesham Forest and The Utsuro Bune

A well recorded and little known event in the Western world would be the events of the Utsuro Bune. This is a myth dating from circa 1800 Japan. It states that a USO ( unidentified submerged object) washed up on the shore. The inhabitants of the village witnessed the object on the shore stating that is was spherical with strange writing on it. Out of the capsule came a woman dressed in fine clothing. She spoke a different language and was not able to communicate with the locals.
The Rendlesham forest story involves an American Air Force base in England. As I understand the story a UFO began shining a light beam ( as if to scan for something) across several portions of the base. The executive officer at the time a Lt. Colonel Halt led a team into the woods to chase after the craft. Apparently one of them got close enough to record symbols on the craft.

Here I would like to show the similarities between these two writings, despite the time difference of 200 years.It seems rather odd that there would be any similarties between these two. However, it can be seen that the commonality is the triangle with 2 circles. The differences being that the midpoints of the circles are lined up with the midpoints of the triangles in the Utsuro bune while in the Rendlesham the triangle is inscribed within a circle. The midpoints of the two circles seem to be in line with the centroid of the triangle.
I merely wish to present this curiosity and I have no intention of offering an explanation for it. Perhaps in the future there will be a greater connection.

Ancient Egyptian Binary Multiplication

I will be showing the method used by the Ancient Egyptians as seen in the Text - " A History of Mathematics" by Jeff Suzuki. This is an excellent text and should be read by those with a great interest or love of mathematics and or history.
To do this multiplication we can use Suzuki's Pseudo-Hieratic notation. This involves writing a number such as 23 as 20,3. Another example would be writing 156 as 100,50,6.
So I will use the example Suzuki gives in the text. Namely, that of multiplying 13 by 27 or in Pseudo-Hieratic as 10,3 by 20,7. This may be considered a form of binary arithmetic because of the doubling. This method is also known as the Method of doubling and halving.
I will first show a step and then explain what is happening.


Step 1.

Pick one of the numbers in this case 20,7 (27). Now, write a separate 1 term in a column to the left. Now double the row.That makes 1 go to 2 and 20,7 go to 50,4 (27*2 = 54).Doubling again makes turns the 2 into a 4 and 50,4 into 100,8 (54*2=108). Doubling once more 4*2 = 8 and108*2 = 216.The doubling does not go on forever of course. We do this until with some combination of the factors present in column 1 can make up the other original multiplying term. In this case 1,4, and 8 make up 10,3 (i.e 1+4+8 = 13).

Step 2.

In step 2 we simply highlight the rows where the single digits in column 1 add up to 13. So Row's 1,3 and 4 have single digits 1,4,and 8 which sum to 10,3 (i.e 13).

Step 3.

20,7 + 100,8 + 200,10,6 = 300,50,1. ( 27 + 108 + 216 = 351).

Now, in step 3 we are looking at the rows of interest pointed out in Step 2. From there we add the terms in Column 2.
